Aztech Performance Series single slider-tilt window has one fixed (top) and one operating sash. Operating sash moves up and down and can be locked in the closed position with the automatic safety latch. WINDOWS OPTIONS & UPGRADES

IGU – Insulated Glass Unit
All our Performance series windows come standard with 7/8” thick double pane insulated glass units (IGU’s) filled with noble gas Argon and with UV reflective LoĒ2-272® coating inside.
Argon
Standard filler Argon, which comprises slightly less than 1% of the Earth’s atmosphere,  is non-toxic, inert, clear and odorless gas. Its thermal conductivity is roughly 67% that of air and it’s inexpensive, making it an attractive gas fill.  It is also guaranteed dry and would not produce dew inside the IGU which would compromise both its efficiency and transparency.
Krypton is very similar in its characteristics to Argon, except that it’s an even better insulator, albeit more expensive to produce.    When cost and functionality are considered, argon is a more efficient thermal barrier per dollar spent, especially in the larger (½”) gaps like we have in our standard double-paned IGU’s.  Krypton is sometimes used in the tighter ¼-inch to 3/8-inch (6mm to 9mm) gaps within triple-paned IGU’s.
LoĒ2-272®
Standard LoĒ2-272® glass is a simple means of maximizing your homes thermal efficiency year-round.  LoĒ2-272® reflects heat back to its source so summer heat is reflected outdoor and indoor heating in the winter is retained.  LoĒ2-272® also blocks up to 84% of UV rays to reduce fading and damage to upholstery and carpet.
LoĒ3-366®
Our optional LoĒ3-366® glass provides increased performance for high sun exposure locations. This top-performance glass is formulated to reject solar heat while letting light in. LoĒ3-366®, blocks up to 95% of the sun’s damaging UV rays.

Grilles and Simulated Divided Lites are available in multitude of patterns to replicate the look of your original windows or to add architectural interest.  Below are the typical patterns.

Between the Glass Grille bars are located between the panes of insulating glass unit. Grille bars facing the exterior match the window’s exterior color, and bars facing the interior are available in White, Cream and Sandalwood.  Grilles between the panes combine easy cleaning with the stunning detail of a grille pattern. It’s the best of both worlds.
Simulated Divided Lites Choose Simulated Divided Lites for an authentic divided glass look. Simulated Divided Lite bars are permanently adhered to the outside surfaces of the glass with a spacer bar between the panes of glass. Exterior divided lite bars are made of the same tough uPVC used on all Aztech Doors & Windows exteriors.
Tempered Glass
Both Aztech Doors & Windows’   LoĒ2-272® and optional  LoĒ3-366®  glass are offered tempered.  Tempered glass is much more difficult to break, however if it is broken it would shatter into small pieces with no sharp edges and therefore is considerably safer.  This option is commonly used in to improve safety to the windows that are close to the floor or large windows located in high-traffic areas.
Obscure Glass
Obscure glass is a great option for areas where ambient lighting is required but either the view is unattractive and needs to be blocked or privacy is desired.  Various types of opaque glazing and sandblasted effects allow light to pass through but eliminate visibility.  Obscure option is available on both LoĒ2-272® and optional LoĒ3-366® glass.
